Original Song: We Are Driven Forth

This is a song that I wrote about the Jaredites with inspiration from Ether 6: 8-10:

(8) And it came to pass that the wind did never cease to blow towards the promised land while they were upon the waters; and thus they were driven forth before the wind.
(9) And they did sing praises unto the Lord; yea, the brother of Jared did sing praises unto the Lord, and he did thank and praise the Lord all the day long; and when the night came, they did not cease to praise the Lord.
(10) And thus they were driven forth  .  .  .  .  .

A storm-tossed sea, the Jaredites they floated
along.
Rough and windy, their faith was firm, and oh, so strong.
The wind did,
never cease to blow towards the promised land,
never cease to blow till they reached dry land.
They sang,
praises to the Lord every night and day,
praises to the Lord as they made their way.
They were driven forth.

They needed light, He touched the stones so that they would glow.
They needed air, He showed them how to make fresh air flow,
The wind did,
never cease to blow towards the promised land,
never cease to blow till they reached dry land.
They sang,
praises to the Lord every night and day,
praises to the Lord as they made their way.
They were driven forth.

When the wind blows that's when we grow.
After the storm is when the precious blessings flow.
Yes, and we are driven forth.

Life's stormy seas, they drive us battered, to and fro.
If we have faith, the Lord will guide us where we go.
May the wind
never cease to blow towards our promised land,
never cease to blow till we reach dry land.
We'll sing,
praises to the Lord every night and day,
praises to the Lord as we make our way.
We are driven forth.

When the wind blows thats when we grow.
After the storm is when the precious blessings flow.
Yes, we too are driven forth.
Driven forth, we are driven forth.
We are driven forth, driven forth, driven forth.

May the wind
never cease to blow towards our promised land,
never cease to blow till we reach dry land.
We'll sing,
praises to the Lord every night and day,
praises to the Lord as we make our way.
Yes, we are driven forth.

A storm-tossed sea, the Jaredites they floated along.
Rough and windy, their faith was firm, and oh, so strong.

I wrote this song for all of my Grandkids whom I love.
