Musical: A Nephite Christmas - Incidental Music

A Nephite Christmas is the experience which fictional teenager, Teomner Ablom, shared with his friends, five years after first hearing Samuel the Lamanite prophecy of the coming of Christ.  “Teo” and his family had been to market when Samuel prophesied and at the time of his miraculous delivery when stones and arrows were being shot at him.  Although Teo’s family was converted fairly quickly, he still had questions.  When his father was taken with other believers to be put to death because of the family’s beliefs, Teomner struggled in mighty prayer to make meaning of it all.  His conversion was dramatic, and peace enveloped Teo and his family.  When the sign was given, and the bound men were loosed, the miracle of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem coincided with the reunification of Teo’s family.

A Nephite Christmas script and music were first written and performed in 1993 by Brad and Denalee Chapman and Debi Maynes while living on the island of Guam.  The script was revised along with updated music and new songs in 2018.  For more information, contact Brad Chapman at jbradchap@gmail.com
